Sports Medicine & Functional Recovery Care
Insurance-Based Care for Athletes Who Want to Move, Train, and Recover Better — Not Just 'Manage Pain'
This option is designed for patients who want medical care that goes beyond symptom control. We focus on identifying why pain or limitation is occurring, how it's affecting movement and performance, and what needs to be addressed to support safe, sustainable activity. Care may include functional exams, movement-based assessments, return-to-play evaluations, targeted treatments, and recovery support — all through a sports medicine lens.

Program Sections
This service is for athletes and active adults who need medical care, but don't want to be treated like a sedentary patient.
If pain, stiffness, or movement limitations are interfering with how you train, play, or recover — this is where we start. Our approach focuses on identifying what's driving your symptoms, how it affects your movement and performance, and what needs to change so you can stay active safely.
This is not traditional pain management. And it's not 'rest, meds, and hope.'
This care pathway is appropriate if you:
- Have ongoing pain that flares with activity or training
- Feel restricted, stiff, or unstable in certain movements
- Are returning to activity after injury and want medical clearance with context
- Need sports medicine evaluation covered by insurance
- Want guidance that supports performance and recovery — not just symptom suppression
This option is commonly used by former athletes, recreational competitors, and active professionals who want to stay in the game without constantly relying on NSAIDs, braces, or ice packs.
We practice functional sports medicine — meaning we don't just ask where it hurts.
We ask why it shows up, when it shows up, and what your body is doing to compensate.
What We Evaluate
- Movement patterns and mechanics to see how pain or restriction is affecting how you load and move
- Range of motion and muscle function to identify stiffness, weakness, or protective patterns
- Pain behavior under activity — not just at rest
- Return-to-play readiness for athletes coming back from injury
- Postural and workload factors contributing to symptoms
When appropriate, this may also include:
Our goal is to help you move forward safely, not stay stuck in symptom management.
